Research is a very large component of my next set of stories, fiction and non-fiction, about WWII and the Manhattan Project, the 10th Mountain Division, WWII, and the Home Front, as experienced by my family. I plan to add more items here, but for a start, here’s:
- Voices of the Manhattan Project – where you can listen to interviews of a wide variety of folks who were a part of the Manhattan Project
- 10th Mountain Division Collection at the Denver Public Library
- Manhattan Project National Historic Park, 3 locations including Oak Ridge, Tennessee
- National Archives, Boston and Atlanta branches both have Manhattan Project records
Two fantastic Boston area writing conferences:
- Muse and the Marketplace, Boston based with a regional and national reach
- The Crimbake Conference is a small conference focused on mysteries and mystery writing.
If you are looking to learn more about mystery writing, these are two wonderful organizations that have helped me with my mystery writing:
- Mystery Writers of America, and their New England branch
- Sisters In Crime, and their New England branch
